Priorities
Too often, things get lost in translation between residents and city departments. I want to be your advocate to make sure your voice reaches decision-makers so you get real answers. No matter who you are or what you need, city government should work for you.
Public Safety
Keep our families and neighborhoods safe
Strong police and fire services are the foundation of any thriving community. I'll work to ensure our first responders have the resources they need while building trust between law enforcement and residents.
Support adequate funding for police and fire departments
Improve emergency response times across all neighborhoods
Promote community policing that builds relationships
Ensure clear communication during emergencies
Infrastructure
Fix it before it breaks, build smart for the future
Our roads, water systems, and public facilities need consistent maintenance and smart planning. Growth is good, but it should strengthen our community, not strain it.
Prioritize road maintenance and snow removal
Ensure reliable water and sewer systems
Plan growth that doesn't overwhelm existing infrastructure
Improve pedestrian safety and accessibility
Small Business Revitalization
Support entrepreneurs and strengthen our downtown core
As founder of The Heart venue, I know the struggles small businesses face with city processes. Downtown Idaho Falls has incredible potential with the Arts Council, First Thursday Gallery Walks, and venues like Centre Theatre—but we need clearer paths for entrepreneurs to succeed.
Streamline permits and licensing to cut red tape
Create designated small business advocates in City Hall
Support downtown events and arts programming
Address downtown parking challenges
Champion creative and home-based businesses
Partner with Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation
Fiscal Responsibility
Respect taxpayers and spend wisely
Every dollar the city spends comes from hardworking residents. I'll make sure we get the most value for our tax money while maintaining essential services.
Transparent budgeting with clear priorities
Regular review of city spending and programs
Seek grants and partnerships to reduce costs
Focus on maintaining what we have before expanding
Government That Works for Everyone
Clear processes, multiple ways to engage, every voice matters
City government should be approachable and understandable—not just for those who know the system. Whether you're a retiree on fixed income, a parent concerned about safety, or an artist trying to create, your voice deserves to be heard.
Simplify city processes and make information clear
Translate more city resources for non-English speakers
Improve city website and communication
Create multiple ways for residents to give feedback
Hold regular, accessible public meetings
Equity & Representation
Elevate overlooked voices, ensure fairness
A truly thriving Idaho Falls includes everyone—not just the loudest or most connected voices. I'll actively work to bring more people to the table and ensure city decisions reflect our whole community.
Identify and engage underrepresented communities
Create diverse community advisory councils
Hold listening sessions for marginalized groups
Advocate for inclusive hiring in city government
Support events and spaces that welcome everyone
